This was a great campground. The host suggested we drive to the end of the road to Red Rock and it was a terrific day of hiking and fall colors.

We love camping in this area near Lake Cachuma! So beautiful and peaceful. Our spot was pretty good; there wasn’t any really good flat spot for our tent (as we found at other campgrounds) but nonetheless it was fantastic. Facilities avail and clean. Ranger came around daily. Trail access is very nearby.

Lovely campground, lots of space between sites. Even wild turkeys wandering about.

Double the price of many National Forests in other states and as with most California campgrounds half the value. Access road in poor condition, Camp host at Los Prietos let dog run loose everyday chasing the Wild Turkey. Host campsite was a mess. Bathrooms were clean. Location is beautiful

descent spot - did not get a warning ahead of time that we could not have a fire. The wild turkeys are cool and the nearby Chumash painted caves are a good spot to stop by.

We had a great site with a fair amount of privacy and space. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained and there were plenty of places to to get water. The big challenge we found was not with the campsite but with the general lack of good hiking in the area! We spent a whole day looking for a nice moderate hike within an hour or so drive and had no luck--- we just found a lot of private property, locked gates, and no parking signs. Plan your hikes in advance if you plan on taking them!

Nice spot! Had the place almost to ourselves during the week. Quiet with nice walks to be had.
