What Guests Are Saying
Nevada Beach Campground is highly praised for its stunning location near Lake Tahoe, clean facilities, and friendly staff, particularly campground hosts Adam and Janet. Campers enjoy the beautiful combination of sandy beaches and pine forests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the shoulder season. While reservations can be challenging to secure and some amenities, like restrooms, need improvement, the overall experience is characterized by cleanliness and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite for many.

Great place to stay. No hookups or showers, but clean bathrooms and beautiful, nice sized sites. So close to the lake as well.

Staff was very nice, and the camp ground was very clean. Only complaint is that we didn’t have more time to spend there! Will definitely book another trip to this site.

this was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered in my life. It was horrible. The hosts were really nice and they did their best but the public barges through the campsites in route to the beach. There is a nice wide paved path for the public to use but they don’t use it . It’s a steady stream day and night the hosts are constantly kicking people out of the campground and they are so shorthanded overwhelmed and frustrated . They deal with daily complaints from the campers. The host said that Nevada Beach is the most difficult Campground to manage in addition to regular duties they have to clean the huge beach multiple times a day from trash and dog business. The public has removed boards from the wooden fence and cut the Barbwire fence so they can trample through the campground. The public comes in and parks at an empty sight and then barbecues and has a picnic and then refuses to leave when the camper who’s reserved for the site shows up. They also park at the sites and then walk to the beach and they’re gone all day until night time and the camper can’t park their RV and set up. If the host calls the police or sheriff it takes hours for them to show up and if they call for a tow to have a car removed the Campground is charged so they’re not allowed to do that. The bathrooms closest to the beach the public has torn off the doors graffiti the steel tin mirrors and torn off the soap dispensers. It’s just a mess camping there. The host said only come in the first two weeks they open in May and the last two weeks in October do not camp June July August or September that it’s even worse in the summer. There were three couples hosting they need five couples. one couple quit another couple who have been hosting for years is not coming back not sure about the third couple. One camper wrapped yellow caution police tape all along her fence line and I just threaten the public with pepper spray. Both helped. DONT GO!!!!!!

Very difficult to get into this campground. We were lucky to get a spot only because of cancellations due to bad smoke from California fires.

It's a hard campground to get into most of the year but well worth the effort. Most of the sites are roomy and there are asphalted pads at all sites. Hose bibs are spaced between campgrounds and all the restrooms are very clean and well stocked. All of the camp hosts and people at the check-in office are very friendly and helpful. The sites closest to the beach are in the south loop. Sites are larger but with less trees and shade. Great pictures of all sites can be found on campsitephotos.com
There is a Safeway up the hill at the Round Hill Center. If you get tired of camp food go to Casey's American Cantina next to the Safeway for great food and drinks.
