Great place to camp for a weekend with great access the beach (no shower available) or come with rv/camper for longer visit. The location is excellent, just across the street from the beach.

Campground was great, but maps outdated. Site 60 had the dumpster in the site, which was not pictured on the map.

My first camping experience with 4 of my friends and it so good. We arrived late due to traffic and had to charge the car once in between. It was dark already.
Arriving Late:
If you arrive late like me, you will have your pamphlet of parking tag, instructions, and directions to your campsite attached to the board on the wall of kiosk at the entrance with your name on it. That was very helpful.
Camping:
Camped with Wawona 6 Tent and REI sleeping pads and REI 35degree sleeping bags and it was just perfect.
Bears:
I thought bears frequenting is just made up because of campsite being so close to the roads and 5 mins away from city. After day 1, I got so comfortable and chill that I even walked to bathroom alone at night enjoying moonlight turning the torch light off! But I was shocked to see bear passing by our tent in the morning on day 2. As a first timer, I setup my Camp very close to the picnic table and burning pit. But I would advise keep a bit of distance and dont take food inside the tent. Also we forgot to throw the Trash in dumpster on day 2 which is why I think bears came to our campsite. I took their sense of smell very lightly. I am thankful the bears were not interested to explore inside the tent. But I got to capture those moments.
Electric Car:
We drove in Tesla Model Y long range fully stuffed with 5 people from Fremont and it took 6 - 7 hrs to reach there with one charging stop and a lunch stop in between. But while returning we did not need to recharge on the way coz its slope and regenerative tech helped us with the miles. Also there is 250kw charger like 5mins away. 👌
Facilities:
Bathrooms are open all the time and never ran out of water. They were frequently cleaned and I really liked it. There were hand soaps and TPs inside as well. Did not see provisions to take bath.
Overall great experience. Will definitely visit again but with extra preparation like appropriate storage containers, arriving early etc.

Camp hosts were friendly, helpful and courteous. Great location close to home (Reno). Site pads level, sites were clean. Sites conveniently located to restrooms. Restrooms clean. Will be back next year!
I would recommend this camp for a short or extended trip!

We got spot 04 and we didn’t like that it was at the entrance and so close to the host’s RV but that’s our fault for not looking at the map better. Put experience there was wonderful. The bathrooms were very clean and constantly checked on and stocked. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. There is a rocky beach across the street but it doesn’t allow dogs, so we went about a mile down the road. We had a great time. There is a bear box for your coolers. It fit two coolers for us. We had a great time!

convenient spot for exploring north and south lake tahoe
reservation info at the entrance kiosk was helpful in directing us around the campground, as there are a lot of sites
there was a generator going after quiet hours for about 30 minutes, which was pretty annoying. and that same site left a garbage can open, which a bear got to take advantage of. cute bear though, and just ate and jumped the fence over to a neighbors' house. our site 47 was spread out from our neighboring campsites but was directly bordering some peoples' backyards. it didn't prove to be a problem, but was a little weird that there weren't many borders in place, still nice.

We enjoyed our stay at William Kent - there is a short walk to a small beach, a deli, and a restaurant. This is conveniently located to drive to trailheads for the Tahoe Rim Trail.
