Nice quiet campground off route 89 in Lake Tahoe Basin. Greeted warmly. We were warned about active bears right at check-in. Ate at the restaurant across the street. Walked on the paved path that is parallel with rte 89. Bathrooms weren’t heated nor extremely clean.

A very nice midweek stay here in early October-- fabulous weather, and not at all crowded. Facilities all in great shape, and the camp hosts are very helpful.

Location is wonderful. It’s peaceful beauty. Near the beach, hiking, biking, rafting. Restaurant and store across from campground. It’s a mild walk to the park. Favorite time to visit fall and spring.

Stayed one night in late September. Camp ground was sparsely occupied, quiet. Camp host was very friendly & knowledgeable. Paved and mostly level sites. Restrooms were clean with flush toilets. Private homes surround campground. Shady. Lake not visible. Short walk to public beach & market. Dogs not allowed on beach. Spotty Verizon internet connectivity.

This was a quick getaway for us on a rainy weekend in September. It was delightfully quiet and beautiful. The camp host, Judy, was welcoming and provided us great information about the area.
Despite the rain, we even got in a nice bike ride to Tahoe City.
The hosts take great care of the campsite, I truly hope we get to return soon.

William Kent is nestled in a residential area with a small portion on Lake Tahoe. It is a charming campground on the West Shore which is considered the best shore by those who live there. It is a wonderful place to enjoy camping.
