We had a good time with family at this campground. Staff was very nice and kept everything under control on a very busy holiday weekend.

My wife and I stayed there for just one night, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in a yurt, had a campfire and walked across the highway to the Sunnyside for dinner and drinks. Will consider staying here again.

We stayed at site 23. The campground itself is well maintained with sites and clean bathrooms. Just be aware that the campground is located within a somewhat commercialized area of Lake Tahoe. It didn’t have that wilderness and natural feel. The campground is surrounded by cabins. It’s a nice short walk to the beach, but don’t expect a white sandy beach, it’s a pebbly beach with a marina. Finally, bear 🐻 is a regular visitor but that is fair to say for most campgrounds in Tahoe.

Urban camping experience with a local black bear coming to campsites in search of food around dinner time. Please be vigilant with using bear lockers to deter this behavior. Clean restrooms, not much privacy, a little noisy.

I was aware that there are no showers at this campsite, but I was told that showers are available at Meeks Bay Resort. However, when we asked the parking attendant, we were informed that only resort guests are allowed to use the shower facilities.

The campsite was pretty but not laid out well. There isn’t much privacy at camp.
