Disappointed there was a Yoga and Wellness retreat that blasted loud music Thursday to Sunday . It disturbed all the Meeks Bay clients .

The room was clean and in excellent condition. Overall the whole area was really wonderful. Crystal clear water, beach, activities, so many things to list. We had a great time and wished to stay longer.

We had such a wonderful time at Meeks Bay! The setting is absolutely beautiful—crystal-clear water, a sandy beach, and incredible Lake Tahoe views right outside your door. It felt like the perfect balance of relaxing and fun, with plenty of room to swim, enjoy the beach, and spend time outside.
The location is hard to beat, and the whole area feels peaceful, scenic, and well cared for. It was a memorable Tahoe trip, and we’re so grateful to have experienced such a special spot. We would happily return and definitely recommend Meeks Bay to anyone looking for a beautiful place to enjoy Lake Tahoe.

The 2 stars are for clean showers and beach access. Other than that, this is just a big asphalted parking lot with no privacy whatsoever. People walking right past your car/tent/table, there was someone going around stealing phones. $70 per might here was not justified. Unfortunately will not return.

They cut off the power supply to the electric plugs in and around the bathrooms so we couldn't boil water with our electric kettles, make rice with the small portable rice cooker, or charge the batteries. They should have warned us of this beforehand. Also, many peole are placing their canopies and chairs and equipment on the beach all night long so that here are limited spaces in the morning. Are there no rules against this?

We have camped at Meeks Bay Resort for over 30 years in our travel trailer. Unfortunately, the staff no longer monitors the number of people using the beach. This is the most crowded we have seen the beach. We camped for a week in July and never saw a staff person at the check-in station to control the number of day use people from coming in. The overcrowding from day use people continues to get worse every year.

This was a great home-base for our kayak adventures to the north and south. Our cabin 3 (Delek - duck) at Meeks Bay was clean, came with linens, pillows, blankets, and even a fan, and a full kitchen. The enclosed deck had a great lake view and a set of tables and chairs. This cabin has a queen bed, two twins upstairs, and a full futon pullout bed in the living area. The windows could be opened, but would not stay up without a prop from a rock or a board. While it has a great view of the lake, it is not immediately by the beach, a short walk away. The four of us really enjoyed staying there.

I was trying to book for Friday and Saturday, it say in your website that First come first serve. So I drove there early morning nothing is available on that weekend because there’s a special event. I think you guys need to update your website so I won’t waste my time to drive all the way over there. Also , I was trying to get a hold of you guys no response either. I’ve been trying to call , they put me on hold forever. It says 20 minutes but nope. I’m totally disappointed

I enjoyed this camping trip because I invited all my family to come to participate. It was a huge camping spot. I loved it!

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
