What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Hiking to the Grant tree from the campsite was a nice time!

Really enjoyed this campground. Really beautiful, with lots of trees, wide spacing between sites, and excellent location to explore both Kings Canyons and Sequoia NPs. The site I stayed in was great, but off level for RVs. I noticed many other sites were pretty off level, with rigs needs many leveling block. The restrooms were old and not very good, so I mostly used my RV.

Site 100 was a perfect site for our 2 tents and quiet experience. The site was pretty flat which allowed us to have great spots for our tents. The restrooms were close by and a water faucet was close also. We enjoyed being close to the market and the trail to the General Grant sequoia grove. The central location allowed easy access to both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park hiking and tourist sites.

Great facilities, restrooms need more attention but park seemed short staffed. Staff showed dedication.

The campsite itself was nice. The bathroom toilettes did not flush leaving tent campers little option. There was a broken water main at Grant Grove village requiring all drinking water be boiled. This was not disclosed when booking even though the Park Ranger stated this was the case for over a week. Some water spigots located in Azalea were posted, some were not. I saw no one checking or cleaning the facilities for the 2 days I was there. And with all online reservations there is no way to notify someone off issues and apparently no responsible parties. Bring back proper campground hosts and maintenance!

First time camping at Azalea and loved it! The camp sites are pretty close to one another but you still feel like you have your own space. You have to put everything scented in the bear locker, but don't worry, they are very spacious! The restrooms are well cleaned and maintained. Great campground for dogs too, just keep in mind they are not allowed on National Park trails.

Beautiful, shaded campground with lots of space. The flush toilets and water were very nice. This is a great location to explore the parks in either direction.
