What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Great central location just inside the park and across from the Kings Canyon Visitor Center. Our site 87 was level and just across from the bathroom with flushing toilets. Dispersed camping at its best!

Great campsite! The campsite was very spacious and clean, I appreciated the clean restrooms and sink areas. Our ranger Kathy was amazing! She gave us recommendations on hikes and really made us feel welcomed and safe throughout our stay.

Toller Campground im Nationalpark.
Nur Online-Buchung, das kann man aber auch direkt vor Ort mit dem Handy erledigen, wenn es noch freie Plätze gibt.
Wasser gibt es, 1 Toilettenanlage. Keine weitere Ausstattung.
Die Plätze sind alle leicht schräg.

Campground host was wonderful. Campsite was nice. No bathrooms or fresh water nearby which was annoying. We ended up walking to the a picnic area which was closer for bathrooms but the water station was broken. Wouldn’t stay again.

It’s a nice place to spend the night. It’s quiet and respectful. The bathrooms were cleaned and the space was perfect.

Beautiful campground with large campsites and tall pine trees surrounding each site. Great location- walking distance to General Grant Grove and The market and visitor center. Azalea is an easy drive to Hume Lake and a 1 hour drive to Moro Rock and Lodge Pole visitor center. Bathrooms were clean and camp hosts were friendly. Highly recommend!

Nothing wrong with the campground overall, but site 69 is terrible: impossible to level our 20 ft campervan (too much of a slope), and sites 69 - 71 are basically one parking space for 3 vehicles right next to each other! Nice trail from this campground to the General Grant Grove.
