Azalea Campground

The camp hosts were so helpful and courteous. Felt very taken care of because I saw them making rounds and walking throughout the campground the whole time.

Campground was at a great location. Close to a restaurant and convenience store should you need anything. All the sites were decently private. Site 1 shared a parking area with site 2. The bathrooms (flush toilets) were close with a path from the road to them. Picnic table, bear box, and fire ring at every site. Unfortunately the campers before us left a lot of trash including their entire tent balled up in the bear box. The host was nice and welcoming, but found it odd when he offered to call the ranger to dispose of the trash left at our site. We simple loaded the truck bed up with the trash and disposed of it in campground dumpster to leave the site better for the next folks.

Site 70 was both gorgeous and spacious. Lots of deer in camp in the morning. No bears. Ranger was strict but nice. Bathrooms were not great but at least there was plumbing. Location of this campground is great. Unfortunately for our taste this campground had the vibe of a retirement community. We were there Fri-Sun, all sites were booked and you could hear a pin drop. Not a fun campground but a beautiful one.

Great spot overlooking a meadow, level, very comfortable.Centerly located in Kings Canyon next door to all the Grant Grove attractions with easy access to Cedar Grove area. Loved it 😃

Loved being across from the camp hosts. The site was great. The site was a bit sloped but we made it work for our tent, but we wouldn’t have placed it there otherwise because it was kind of close to the road. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. No hot water or paper towels. There was soap but it looked like something that someone had brought and left so you may want to bring your own. We would happily return.

Plenty of space in site 14!

I camped here for a couple of nights, and unfortunately it was snowing-it’s not the fault of the campground but it did make camping very difficult. Otherwise it was an incredible site in a very cool environment

This is your typical N.P. campground. Good camping and quiet.

Beautiful campground, and close to General Grant tree for an easy hike. Note that no one was in the check-in booth when we checked in, and I'm not sure if that's always the case, but the camp hosts came around and were very helpful and kind.

Reserved campsites are left vacant way too often....every time I go to this park. Such a waste.
