What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Beautiful campground surrounded by trees in the middle of Grant Grove! - lots of hikes near by like Grant Tree loop, north grove loop, Big stump trail, Hitchcock meadow. Indian Basin, Boole tree trail
20 minutes to Hume lake. McGee Vista for sunset (6min away). 50 minutes to Sequoia National Park

Such a great campsite. The drive up the mountain on route 180 was a little scary in a large RV, but I'm a newer driver to a vehicle that large. The campsite was walking distance to the Grant Grove Village and a short hike to the General Grant tree area.

We were so thankful to get a spot so late in the game! Spot was great and up high which overlooked the sites below. Short easy walk to the bathrooms- the larger ones so multiple people could use. Very very dark at night made for great star viewing!

Azalea Campground is well positioned near some of the most popular sites and Grant Grove Village. This is a popular campground with a lot of sites located within relatively close proximity to each other. However, we found campers to be mellow and respectful of each other's space. The camp hosts are active and engaged with ensuring camp rules are enforced. They were seen walking the campground several times during our 3-day stay, and were helpful with assistance and suggestions without being intrusive.
