What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Overall nice campsite. Great location with easy access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon, unfortunately Kings Canyon is closed for 2023.

Our site backed up to a pretty meadow and had a relatively flat area for the tent. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. Easy walking to Grant Village and Grant Grove.

Beautiful campground with lots of shade and a short hike directly to a grove of Sequoia Trees. There were tools for maintaining fires (shovels, buckets, rakes) in central locations. My big complaint about this campground was there was no bathroom anywhere near our loop. Our site was a five-minute walk to the nearest restroom, and there were many sites much further than us. Also, the mens restroom had no lights (there was a fixture, but no switch, or bulbs). Women's restroom had these things.

Acute personnel shortages apparent in rest room quality, no one ever "on duty" at campground entrance, etc. "Reservations only" policy allows many campsites to remain unoccupied.
