What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Campsites were fairly spaced out and roads were easy to navigate. Bathrooms were clean and easy to visit the visitor center and Grant Tree areas.

A lot of the campground sites were impacted by snow and downed trees and my original site was closed, but we were able to get a reservation for another site on the day the campground opened for the season. Sites are pretty spread out for a front country campground and you’re nestled in the forest. Water was nearby but no bathrooms close to our loop due to the closures.

It was fast booking, the site was perfect next to amazing trees and next to the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay there ( have in mind it’s very cold at nights so bring appropriate stuff )

Campground is beautiful. Large groups of people scavenging for wood, playing loud music, and running through others sites really detoured from the beauty of the park.
