What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Came to our campsite which we had paid for and reserved and a bunch of people were there and they claimed it was theirs. There were numerous other empty ones nearby so we just moved over to one of those set up, ready to make dinner when there was a knock on our door. This is our campsite. So we packed up and went to the visitor center and ask what to do. A store employee told me to look for a ranger. I drove through the campground trying to find one! Or try to find the campground host. Driving through the campground looking for the host didn’t work. Eventually we just parked in the visitor center for the night and all was well.
We even had Internet connection!

Beautiful setting in the forest, big campsites, verry clean bathrooms, great location in the middle of the two parks

Beautiful campground in a convenient location. The facilities here are very good and well maintained. There's bathrooms with running water, sinks outside the bathrooms to wash dishes, recycling, potable water. There are not showers, though. We stayed one night at site #37 and one night at #68, and they were both great but very different. #37 is a large and spread out site and very private. It is a little walk to the restrooms, though. #68 is smaller and closer to neighboring sites, but it's also right across the street from a toilet. We were able to set up a tent at both sites without issue.

For a fair sized campground (110 sites) it didn't feel that way with a nice mix of sun and shade and very quiet at night.
