What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Excellent location with easy access to Grant Grove.
A short trail from the campground leads directly into the Grant Grove area, making it simple to explore. The Grant Grove loop features many impressive giant sequoias and connects to several extended trails for those looking for a longer hike. Each campsite is equipped with a bear-proof food storage bin.
The campground is very RV-friendly, though some sites may not be ideal for tent camping—be sure to review the details for each site before reserving.
Flush toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground, but note that there are no showers.
The visitor center, restaurant, and camp store are just a 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk away. The store offers basic camping essentials like ice, firewood, and snacks—enough to cover most common needs.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the Grant Grove area!

Beaaaautiful large sequoia trees all over our campsite!
Bathrooms are ok, not bad but we did go during winter snow season.
Campsites are flat, perfect for my SUV camper.
Genuinely a peaceful and beautiful campsite, will definitely be back!

The spot backed up to the meadow and that was awesome. Water nearby to fill my trailer as needed. The bad part was the slab slopes pretty deep at the back and left. It was quite a challenge to level my trailer. They closed 101 for overflow, which is the space I’d wanted first. Very disappointed in that. I’d love to see spots out of the meadow loop for overflow next year.

This was a nice campground with spacious sites. It was significantly cooler than Yosemite because of the elevation. We loved it! We had a self-enclosed trailer so we didn't use the bathrooms.
