What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

The campground is beautiful. Less than a mile away from the general Grant Sequoia Grove. There are quite a few Sequoia trees in the campground even. The amenities are basic and well kept. The campground host were very helpful when it came for us needing to move to a site that fit our vehicle better. Very nice people.

Beautiful campground. Huge trees and boulders everywhere. Looked like AI. Our site was huge with a great fire pit and nice picnic table. Plenty of room for both of our tents without having to be too cramped together. Very quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms were clean and there were lots of them. Great location too, close to the visitor center and the General Grant Tree.

Wonderful location of the campground. Less then 3 minutes from the grant grove village and about a 15 minute walk to the General Grant Tree. The campsite was quiet after 10pm which was nice to see that other campers were respectful of the rules. Our campsite #7 was about a 2 minute walk from the bathroom. Which was well maintained and clean. One of the better bathrooms I've used in the parks. Only issue was the bathroom was up a slightly steep hill, you can walk along the road up a less steep hill if the one from site 6 is too high. There are ant hills in the campsite but they never bothered us, no one was bitten and they didnt come into our tents. The campsite hosts were so friendly, introduced themselves and provided us some basic info on the nearby parks and hikes.

Bathroom needed soap which was decently annoying. But the campground is at a great location, quiet and easy to access, would stay here again!
