What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

This campground, overall, was lovely. Spacious enough. Beautiful area. Close to the garbages. It was right by a larger hill, and you had to walk up the hill to get to the closet restroom. Not a big deal for my family, but could be an issue for some. We were able to walk up the hill and find a couple tree for a hammock.

Beautiful campground, so close to General Grant! Way less crowded than Sequoia National park. Only thing I’d say was that our site (3) was very uneven ground. We used a tent but ultimately it was such a lovely campground that the uneven ground wasn’t even that bad.

Beautiful location. No showers except at Sierra Inn about 30 minutes towards Fresno (according to park ranger). Great to be close to amazing trails and sites. Site was spacious, room for hammocks and tents. Nice neighbors. Bathroom a little far but felt safe to walk at night too. Can't wait to come back.

Not our first time at Azalea but first time at sites 90 and 91. While close to the bathroom ( a must with 2 young grandkids.) For site 90 the firepit is right next to the road so you get the headlights of every late arrival in that loop. If the fire pit was on the other side the privacy level would go up ten fold That said any night camping is great as you make it what you need!
