What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Site 110 (and 109) are both on rock. There is no way to stake your tent into the ground. Luckily, previous campers had amassed rocks to use. However, if it was windy, I would have moved sites.

This was a great campsite, I felt very safe as a solo-female traveler staying at this site. The only issue I could see coming up would be the lack of privacy from other campsites nearby thankfully I didn't have neighbors when I stayed but the campsites in the middle are pretty exposed with a lack of trees to separate the campsites. However, the campsites are huge and very spaced out so that was lovely!!

Campground is nice and clean. Sites are well placed. Bathrooms are clean.
Trails around the campground are easy with many big trees along the way.

Loved everything about the campground, although knowing if the site is sloped or tilted would be helpful having a trailer. Short walk to General Grant and the grove of amazing trees.
