Beautiful — small campground, most have privacy, absolutely gorgeous views of the Kaweah River from some of the campsites. The real gem here is the Paradise Creek Trail, which is awe-inspiring! The clear river and creek, wildflowers, what looks to be several swimming and fishing areas, and incredible mountain scenery. We appreciated the clean bathrooms with running water as well as a dishwashing station. A short and stunning drive up to the big trees. Definitely recommend for Spring or Fall when weather is not too hot in the foothills.

Lovely site near a river, unfortunately sites are rather close together - gets smokey and people keep beeping their cars all night.

A magical place! Super clean and well maintained. The Paradise Creek trail is a must if you're staying at Buckeye. Took a short drive to the Giant Tree Museum and from there, hiked our way up to General Sherman, just incredible.
We went at the end of March, beginning of April and the weather was fantastic! About 80 degrees during the day, shaded areas everywhere. At night the temperature drops, but nothing a nice sleeping bag can’t handle. Water on the river is chilly, but if you’re up for it, a great swim (spaces 16, 17 & 18 have direct access to the river!)

This is a great campground with great natural amenities. No complaints about the facilities. Only complaint pertains to all camp grounds. Radios should be prohibited at all campgrounds. To many folks play music ruining the outdoor experience. This camp ground is not patrolled enough so music and excessive noise can go well into the next morning. :(

Great location. Beautiful park. Only complaint is that several campers were noisy after 10.

Love that there are areas for kids to enjoy the water, as well as for adults.

They say on the website not to bring wood in, but then there is no wood available to purchase, so that was frustrating the first night. Not a great place to stay if your goal is to see the sites in the park itself, like the big trees, etc. due to the switchbacks, however it is a wonderful place to stay on its own merit.
