our campsite was within walking distance to the info center, store, cafe - might be a good idea for anyone booking to look at a detailed map on exactly where each campsite is located relative to bathrooms, roads, other campsites, etc - you can always call the Park - they might take a couple days to get back with you but they will
BOOK AS FAR IN ADVANCE THAT YOU CAN

Sites are close together, small, and no privacy but you’re close to the amenities of village and the park entrance. Holiday weekend crowd is rowdy and loud, so plan accordingly as there are no staff, day or night, on site to help negotiate the standards of shared spaces or limit the people coming in 2-4 AM. Staff must pop in occasionally to clean the bathrooms but we never saw anyone official. Would possibly go back on a weekday for the mountain side sites or if the plan was to drink and sing until the early hours.

The campground was almost empty so it was very quiet and peaceful. The site was quite large and gave me a choice of three different places for my tent. Only negative was the large amount of ants! The campground is close enough to the Grant grove, the ranger station and the store that you can walk so that's a plus also. Had a great time
