What Guests Are Saying
Sunset Campground is praised for its beautiful sunset views, clean facilities, and convenient location near major attractions in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, ample hiking opportunities, and friendly staff. However, some noted issues with noise from neighboring sites and varying site sizes, which could impact the camping experience. Overall, it's a lovely spot that many would return to despite a few drawbacks.

Everything was great! Just wish the bathroom had soap, but I had some in hand.

First night was Sunday of Memorial Day and the campground looked like a Boy Scout jamboree. The next three night were much better due to less people. Issue is the sites are right on top of each other causing the issue. Some sites have wonderful views of the sunsets

We stayed at #55 for one night. The site was spacious with a big table and a fire ring. We arrived after sunset and saw lots of stars and pretty city lights. The view might be more beautiful during sunset. The restroom with flush toilet was not far but no shower rooms. The only downside of the campsite was that it was on a slope. I didn't sleep well because my sleeping bag was keeping sliding down.

Cool little corner spot away from other campers besides the one in front of you. It’s on a hill so space is limited to one tent without having to sleep sideways along the hill.

Wonderful campground close to Grant Village and is an easy drive to all the major sites in Sequoia and King's Canyon. We even had a woodpecker nest in our campsite! My kids were absolutely enamored with the baby birds and other wildlife.

Lovely location at the exit of the park, when heading towards Yosemite. Or coming from there, a good spot for the northern part of the park. All installations ok, just the ash containers overfilled. Sunset at the rim of the campground amazing…and some digital connectivity there😉
