We loved exploring a new national park. Manzanita Lake is beautiful. We explored several hiking trails and got in some kayaking too. We can’t wait to return for another camping trip.

Stayed in a campsite (94) right next to the camp host (91), and a car drove in at 3:30 am and spent an hour making noise: talking, banging the bear box, unloading a car, using headlights etc. with no regard for any of the sleeping campers around them. I could not get back to sleep and was exhausted the next day. All the directions were posted at the kiosk for the campgrounds including the camp rules, and all ignored...! Language issues? Cultural differences? Or just plain Rudeness? How can anyone be this socially unaware..? So disappointed...clearly they were trying to avoid paying the park entrance fee, and still so incredibly loud for more than an hour.

The site #06 was mentioned as RV/tent site. There were not a single patch that is level and less than 10% grade in that site! There is no dish washing station! The rule was to take water back to your site, wash dishes at site, strain the gray water and dump the food residue in to trash, bring the gray water back to the sink, 1000 ft away from the site! This just encourages using disposable plates/glass/bowls, and I wiped my pots/pans to save time!
It feels, except very few sites around the rest-room, the campsite is for people with self-contained RV!
The good part is it is still within the national park and gather firewood was allowed. Will avoid, if I don't have a RV with bath and kitchen.

We were there last week. Everything was great and it is an ideal area for camping.

Heads up! Campsite number 13 has a slope, so if you decide to stay here, be prepared to get creative with your sleeping arrangements. On the bright side, the trash cans and bathroom facilities are conveniently close by.

I stay at the group site, there's a toilet in the center of the group site, but not the flush toilet, also there's no water station, have to walk up to the next toilet to get the water hand carry down to the camp site.
