What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

I thought the space of the site relative to the other campers was good. I didn't feel like we were all crammed next to one another. Everyone seemed to be respectful of the quiet time rule which was nice because Ive been in public sites where people were loud late into the evening. The other thing I would suggest for the park, is to include a wash station into the bathrooms. Right now the camp site requires that you wash your dishes at your own site, collect the grey water you used for washing, and then go dump that water into the potable water station drain at the bathroom. No one followed this rule and just washed their dishes at the potable water sink. Yellowstone has wash stations in their bathrooms, where you can wash dishes and they are also in bear country, so I think Yosemite can install wash stations and povide soap as well. People are going to break the rules anyways so you might as implement a reliable system thats safe for the campers but also safe for the bears / wildlife.

Great location for access to Yosemite Valley. Campsites are quite close together so if other campers are not considerate, it can detract from the experience. Definitely recommend arriving before sunset as parking for specific campsites is at awkward angles and would be difficult to navigate in the dark!

It's a very organized and clean campground, people respect quiet hours, and it's not far from Yosemite Valley, which should be a 35-minute drive away! We loved it and recommend it.

Campsite ranger/host was very helpful. Difficult to level our 29’ RV. Sites better suited for smaller vehicles or tents. No hookups. Bathroom was convenient and clean. No showers. Need separate car/Jeep for 20-mi drive to/from Yose Valley. Tight turns for big RV and too scary/hilly to bike. Valley Floor bus tour with guide Bill Fontana was great.

I stayed in camp sight #85, which was great. I was suppose to stay in camp sight #61 to days later. I have a camper on a pickup.
Sight #85 was very good. Sight # 61 dropped down about one foot. This is way too much drop for any camper, so I did not stay there on the following day. You need someone to actually look at the sights and determine if they are really usable for an RV.

Wonderful setting, just inside the National Park. Good sized pitch. Stayed in RV, no dumping, water facilities or electric hook up. Used Upper Pines campsite dumping station during visit. Toilet blocks basic with cold water at sinks. Good advice from hosts at the site and staff when booking in. The peace and quiet and being in Yosemite made the visit great.

Wonderful campground, great hosts. We love the elevation and he had a little more room and it’s such a nice busy campground. Very quiet loved it will go back.

Sites were not level and some were very close together with no privacy. The only fresh water was at the bathrooms over the gray water drains. Unfortunately it was all we could get in to based on seasonal closures and there was nothing available in the valley.
