Site was extremely unlevel so I put it on a level spot. To my surprise as I am in bed to go to sleep the host or ranger told me that I had to move my tent because it was blocking an unmarked access road to bath house. So we got up to move tent even though we were getting up at the crack of dawn to leave. To make it worse she stood there and stared at us the entire time we were moving just to make sure we moved.

Nice Campground in very convenient location, right beside the Big Oak Flat entrance. This is a hike in spot, so if the campground gets crowded, you have to tip-toe to your tent, which can be a little bothersome. This spot is located along the campground border, down there the ground is soft and might be wet during or after rain. Take that into consideration whilst pitching your tent. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean bathrooms.

BEST CAMPING TRIP EVER!! My stay at Hogdon Meadow Campground was phenomenal! It is about 45m from Yosemite Valley but it is an absolutely gorgeous drive in. The Ranger during my stay (Tracey?) was honestly the best I've had! She gave me phenomenal hiking ideas and made sure the campground was safe and tidy from all bear attracting items. It is close to Carlon Falls (beautiful!) and not far away from Hetch Hetchy either! Still, Mist trail was by far my favorite- but BRING A GOOD PONCHO! I would have loved to camp closer to the valley but hands down I would happily stay at Hogdon Meadow again!!

Tranquil lake, very quiet, beautiful views. Easy drive to and from, easy access to the national parks.

My whole group had a very nice time in Hodgedon, we visit new camping ground once a year, we will definitely come back to this site soon.
Thank you,

I enjoyed my three nights at this campground. Sites are pretty much right next to each other, but my neighbors were considerate. My tent was pitched on the outer border so I just had woods on one side. Despite being in a walk-in site, my car was only around 60 feet away, which was convenient. There are two restroom buildings that were ok but nothing special. I took a shower at Housekeeping Camp one day (Curry Village also has showers). In mid-May there was no staff present except a ranger who stopped by the first night to check me in, but she was friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a drive to the valley and even farther to Glacier Point, but well worth the effort. Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is easily accessible from this location and has some awesome waterfalls to see. I would have liked to drive Tioga Road but it was still closed for the winter. Overall I was happy I camped here and would recommend it to anyone not needing much in the way of luxury or privacy.

The parking area is rather small and shared. Much of it is not flat, so if you are sleeping in your vehicle, be sure to bring blocks. Site 53 is on the way to the bathroom, so there is a lot of foot traffic.

This campground is quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed our campsite. It was a 45 minute drive to the valley but more than close enough to enjoy the valley sites. It's an easy drive to the redwood trails from this campground.
