Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

Beautiful campsite, however, do pay attention to the site description about how it is on a heavy slope. We ended up sharing the small flat tent area with the campsite next to us.

Unfortunately, this time the National Park made a sad impression. We saw a lot of burnt trees that were not being removed. At the campsite we were lucky that next to the rented site there was a toilet with a place for washing and washing hands. Not everyone is so lucky. Some parts only had a toilet. This is very inconvenient if you stay for several days. In addition, there are also a lot of fallen trees on the campsite that lie and rot. I was very sad to see the National Park in such an unsightly state.

We got in late because we went to glacier point and we left at 6:30 sm the next day so we could get a park in the valley. Not much to comment on.

We were in the walk-in campground numbers 21 and 26. As others have written these sites are only suitable for a 2-person backpacking tent. Which we had, so we were fine. I found these sites peaceful. I would use them again. It would be great if flat campsites were provided suitable for 4-person tents if the site were ever improved.

Nice, shaded sites, quiet atmosphere, helpful rangers. Bathroom facilities lacking-- often waiting in lines for single toilet, no hand soap, drinking water faucet spraying in all directions above a disgusting greywater toilet-- how about getting an outdoor standpipe for drinking water? Additional toilets and showers would be great too.

We loved camping at Hodgdon Meadows. The amenities were as described and the rangers nice. It was rather far away from the valley, which added time on to our daily activities. The main problem was the site was very unlevel. Our engineer son solved this by building a pile of firewood under one wheel! Even though it said full, there were quite a few empty sites around us. If it had really been full, our neighbors would have been quite close. I would go there again, but pick a different site.

The bathrooms were really dirty. The whole campground is a dirt ground. Seems like no one does any cleaning in the campground. All the sites are on a slope. And no showers whatsoever. It has a potential to be a really nice campground though.

Super dirty. The bathrooms were a mess. Seems like no one does any cleaning in the campground. All the sites are on a slope. And no showers whatsoever. Horrible place to stay in the park if you ask me.
