One of the two parking spots is filled with tree stumps. We had to park somewhere else.

Great camp host, and accommodations. Very happy with the site, and location. Although outside of the valley, it was a quiet and easily accessible location. Nice escape from the crowds and a true camping experience. We moved to site 4, which was a large site, and plenty of space for our extra large tent.

Good camping. Convenient location for goi t and from San Francisco but relatively far from the valley.

We love staying at this campsite! Not in the valley so avoids the congestion. Just about 30-40 min drive into the valley if wanted. Lots of water activity right out the gate at Rainbow bridge. Campsites are spacious and not right on top of each other. We had lots of shade and a clean site.

Nice clean campground. The parking can be a little difficult. We had an early morning hike and a large camper van was partly blocking us because the parking is not designed for extra long/large vehicles. They sites are also a little close together, but overall a good place to stay.

Rangers are excellent—very helpful and available.
Unfortunately when I arrived and attempted to park at my campsite, someone else was posted up in their camper van. I then had to have the rangers attempt to make contact with the persons in the van—there was no one there. Seems that once you’re in the campground, you’re free to take what we space you choose if it’s open… the rangers offered me a different site and of course I had no other choice, this was my only option.
The site I was given was loud, not level, not shaded like the space that I reserved. I was very disappointed. The campsite had many walk in spaces and the campers were very loud and they left the toilet facilities a mess and walked through my campsite with their lights flashing in my tent on their way to the toilets.
Not sure if I’d book here again with all the issues I encountered. If I’d had the site I booked originally, I may not have minded the loudness but being so inconvenienced and then having such loud neighbors was just a lot to deal with.

Valerie and Kevin, the hosts, were amazing! However, site 104 is “40 ft” and a mess when it comes to leveling. I would not take a RV or trailer into this campground again. We are seasoned campers and it took us 3 hour to level (and still not right) our 24 ft trailer. Total nightmare. Campground is quiet, but mostly tents everywhere. Not nearly enough restrooms for the number of campers packed into this small space and they were poorly maintained. That campground is in dire need of restroom and site maintenance.

When they say the site is level don’t believe it. Their determination of level is very relative.

The water situation for the campground was pretty horrifying. The only source of drinking water was leaning up and over a dirty utility sink, at just the two restrooms. So only two very awkward water sources for the entire large campground.
It was extremely challenging physically for many women, short or older people and many people ended up getting splattered with water. One small older lady dropped her water container in the dirty utility sink, which looked like a huge toilet.
In Yosemite Valley the restrooms had water fillers on the exterior of the restrooms in addition to the utility sink. This should be provided at Hodgdon meadows.
We were at the campsite next to the utility sink so we listened to people struggling to get water and lined up doing dishes at the utility sink from about 5 am until midnight. I love Yosemite but this was the worst water situation I have ever experienced camping.
