What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

I paid for a camping spot that stated it was open yet when we got there the road was closed. Wasted money, no refund.

The campground was quiet because the road to the valley was closed and it took 2.5 hours (each way) to drive around the long way. The sad part was, I cancelled my two nights at a site in the valley because I drove down instead, took pictures and came back. I tried to extend my current campsite in Hodgdon but the site showed as booked and those pexpel NEVER showed up. It’s really rude when people don’t bother to cancel their sites when they don’t plan on using it.
The campsite staff was amazing! They tried to help but there was nothing they could do.

Group C campsite is big and flat, easy pit bathroom access. There’s enough space for 30 pp for tents, eating, fire pits. Water access is tricky as you need to go to the main bathroom to get it.

I was told that there were street closures but the campaite was still open. Was not told that it was a 3 hour detour. What a joke

Nice to be away from the crowds in the Valley. Pretty quiet when we were there. The staff were amazingly nice and helpful.

Very pleased with everything. Tall trees, clean bathrooms, and site #28 had a level space for us to set up a tent (10x10). The "hike in" aspect for this site was not bad at all. Honestly, it was almost the same distance as if you were pitching a tent in a pull through site! Highly recommend this campground and site #28.

Rangers were friendly and offered great recommendations. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Camp site was clean and well kept. All in all a great experience!

The campground was quiet, and the camp host was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed walks along the meadow in the evening listening to the rails and chorus frogs.

We selected site 104 and it was awful. Very steep and full of ruts and was all mud. We tried several different ways to use the site with no success. The site was eroded so bad it should be closed or leveled.
The Ranger was kind enough to cancel the rest of our stay due to inclement weather and the Valley not being reachable.
