I've been going to Yosemite for over 50 years. The rangers were constantly bugging us, and at one point made us move a car that we were unloading because it was in a hikers parking area. The next day, they allowed someone to camp there for the next few days. The camp sit that we got was too small as well. The valley is becoming too busy.

Beautiful campsite, bathrooms located nearby but not immediately next to it. Also right across from the start of the Mirror Lake hike! Area was spacious and fairly level. Great campsite all around!

I don't know when this started happening but both nights in Yosemite we had people stroll through our campsite while we were hanging out eating or just sitting by the fire. I saw someone even go into someone else's site and take wood from their firepit. They didn't know each other! Bathrooms don't have soap, so be prepared with your own.

My time at North Pines Campground was nothing short of incredible. Nestled in the heart of Yosemite Valley, the campground provided the perfect base for adventures and meaningful time with friends. Waking up each morning to the serene views of towering pines and the Merced River was a refreshing reminder of Yosemite’s beauty.
One of the highlights was hiking around Happy Isles, where we were immersed in lush greenery and enjoyed the peaceful sounds of rushing water. The trails from this area offered a great introduction to the park’s scenic beauty. We also spent time watching climbers scale the legendary walls of El Capitan—a humbling and inspiring experience, especially witnessing their perseverance from the meadows below.
The campground itself was well-maintained, with clean facilities and a cozy, natural setting. Despite the popularity of the park, it never felt overcrowded, and the friendly campers added to the positive experience. I’d highly recommend North Pines for anyone looking for an unforgettable outdoor adventure surrounded by the grandeur of Yosemite.

This was a very pretty site beautifully right in front of a big rock. And not too far from the bathroom, which was nice. Just a reminder from the gate it's about an hour if you follow speed guidelines to the site. Not too close to the next campsite. Very clean. Beautiful weather 10/19/2024.

Great to be in the Valley but the Lower Pines had better views.

Terrible location for tent camping. Better for RV. The site is dusty& noisy, & not enough space between sites for tent camping. I was only there for one night, both I & my friend got sick, with a bad dry cough can hardly speak, 6 days later still a dry cough.
