Nice, spacious, clean, and the camp host at backpacker’s campground was so kind and cheerful!

The bathrooms definitely could use updating and regular cleaning. I have been to many CA state campgrounds where the facilities were in far better condition. I'm not sure what's up with the NPS but the condition of the bathrooms, in general, are unacceptable (spoken as a taxpayer). Otherwise the campground location itself is, of course, amazing...being located in Yosemite Valley.

Horrible smoke every evening from campfires burning despite temps that did not necessitate such fires. Campfires should be banned during summer months.

We were in site 501 the first night, which was near the trash cans, but it's a large space and the trash cans were far enough away. Close to the restrooms and the river.
The next two nights we were in site 210, a little bit more cozy in terms of space between campsites, but still plenty of room to maneuver around. Close to the restrooms. The restroom near 501 had a water spigot and refillable water bottle faucet. the restroom near 210 did not have those features.
The campground was clean and shady and had the most beautiful views of Yosemite. We would come back anytime.

Our campsite was in the best location. Loved the views and being beside the river. Walking distance to many trails and Curry Village. Hope to be able to return next year.

The only option was to pay online with the recreation.gov app. But it declined our two credit cards and the creditcards of the other hikers two. So the app didn’t work. Paying cash was online possible after long discusen with the ranger
