North Pines is the best campsite area in Yosemite Valley. Great views of Yosemite Falls, the opportunity to spend time in the Merced River, and ample shade make this my favorite spot in the Park!

Great location and basic services. Very hospitable campground hosts. No soap provided in restrooms. Shuttle service for getting around park was very time consuming, but useful to have. We mostly walked due to summer crowds.

The backpackers camp at Yosemite is great! SO glad this is an option for the day before and after a backpacking trip - it's honestly the only thing that makes backpacking doable! Otherwise it would just be too tiring to drive on the same day!
