It is the greatest feeling in the world to wake up in Yosemite. North Pines is a great campground. I fell asleep to the relaxing sounds of the Merced and woke up as the sun rose over Half Dome.

Great campsite, a little less hectic/busy than Upper Pines. Nice sites and the staff is so nice. We camped at site 500 with lots of room and easy parking for my 32’ trailer.

North Pines campgrounds has the best camping in Yosemite Valley. We got lucky with the lottery and the weather turned out to be perfect. There was a flood warning issued which had us worried since our campsite was right at the intersection of Tenaya Creek and the Merced River. However, the floods never materialized and we had a great stay. The waterfalls were pouring like crazy. The hikes to Lower Yosemite Falls and Mirror Lake were great with the dogs and the Ahwahnee Hotel was a great place to relax and enjoy the views. The Ahwahnee is under renovation so the main dining room was closed. Spring was late due to the extended winter storms so the the dogwood wasn't blooming but it was still beautiful!
