Very good overall experience. The folks working the welcome booth were super sweet and welcoming. Campsite goes VERY deep. Could honestly fit a lot of people and several tents. Very close walking proximity to Curry Village and world class hikes. I absolutely loved my experience here and felt like I was in the heart of all the action. Like literally there is no better place to camp β I'm convinced! Cons: bathroom is right there and the lights don't go out (unless you were to say.. find a switch on the ceiling), also a LOT of people walk through the campsite on their way to the bathroom. BTW, cleanest bathrooms camping I've ever experienced. Plenty of other reviewers complained it was loud but honestly, it became ridiculously quiet after like 9 PM. Admittedly, we were the loud ones (group of mid 20s) and we were unfortunately placed next to a fricken day care-type neighbor with 7 kids (I counted lol). They repaid the favor with crying and shrieking at 7 am that lasted an hour and made its way through my ear plugsβ haha fair enough. Anyway.. would deffo recommend this campground and if you can, get a different campsite but this one works just fine.

campsite in the middle of yosemite park, very usefull placement
not like:
-bathroom (low quantity and dirt)
-campground delimitation (too easy to pass in the middle of other's campground to reach toilette)
-potable water (you can drink it, but it's not good at all)
liked:
-super friendly ranger
-black water dropoff avaiable in yosemite park (and it's free... only not highlited - maybe it's reserved to resident person)
-gas station avaiable in yosemite park (way cheaper than other near park)

This should not be a campsite. Itβs directly in front of the bathrooms and about 10 feet from the trash receptacle. Campers are constantly walking through your campsite to fill water, use the restroom, and throw out there trash. In the 12 hours I was there, 4 people walked within 2 feet of me while I was standing at the tailgate of my truck.
Campers here do not understand basic camping etiquette. This site should be made into a pathway.
