About Upper Pines Campground

Upper Pines campsites are available to reserve up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. PST. For example, on January 15, arrival dates for the period May 15 to June 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full arrival date window would be from January 15 to June 14.  Reservation Tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov.  Upper Pines Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The site is situated in the heart of Yosemite Valley, an awe-inspiring landscape containing many of the famous features for which Yosemite National Park is known. Excellent campground and campsite. You can't beat the proximity to the Valley and Curry Village. Our campsite was just a short walk to Curry Village and multiple shuttle stops.

I did have my portable charger stolen while charging in the restroom, which isn't the campground's fault but it's worth noting for future residents.

This campsite was amazing. Plenty of shade and has a small creek that flows through back of campsite. Our kids loved playing in it. A few sites away is shortcut to get to Mist Trail. The campsite was level and perfect for our RV. Definitely one of the prettiest campsites in Upper Pines. Also so cool watching all the wildlife in the woods behind campsite.
