What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Glade Campground is praised for its beautiful, clean, and well-maintained facilities, with friendly and helpful camp hosts, particularly Michael, Bill, and Deb. Guests enjoyed the serene atmosphere, proximity to the Conejos River, and opportunities for hiking and exploring. While some sites were less favorable and there were occasional issues with restroom cleanliness and cell service, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored destination for many campers.

Excellent, large camp sites. toilets were very clean. Whole area was well maintained. Camp managers need to do a better job of enforcing the leash rules for dogs.

Beautiful, shaded campground (lower loop C) and clean bathrooms. We stayed for 4 nights (July 1 to 5, 2020) and saw the hosts clean the bathrooms at least twice a day. A little buggy in the morn and eve so bring repellent or long sleeves/pants, but it wasn't bad. There was a bear one night that got into a campsite by the river and threw stuff around, so keep food locked up!
Husband loved fishing the river. I would def go back!

We just got back from a 4 day stay at Aspen Glade near Antonito, CO. It was an excellent experience. The location was great. Bathrooms were clean. Quiet atmosphere. The caveat is that because it was relatively close to route 17, when large vehicles passed by, you were able to hear them - not all vehicles though, just the semitrucks and construction vehicles.
The weather was beautiful. Very low humidity. It was cool at night (mid 40's) and nice during the day (mid to high 70's). Not sure how others were able to get a connection, but I had a Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile phone - and there was absolutely no service anywhere on site - which may be a good thing!
All we thought about during the stay were the squirrels, chipmunks and wildlife on the campgrounds. It was the perfect getaway to get unplugged.

We’ve stayed here many times and always enjoy it. The only recommendation I have is for the campground operator/tion company. If a sign was placed at the entrance that the campground is full and there is no fishing parking within the campground, there would be a lot less traffic from people looking to camp or fish and then leaving because they can do neither

Campsite (22) was so clean and right along the Conejos River. Campground hosts always available and friendly. Easy in and out of site.
