Amazing remote campground with lush surroundings and plenty of wildlife. We were fortunate enough to get a site (62) on the river. The river is really beautiful and even though it’s the Frying Pan River, there’s really no good fishing on that stretch. Did catch quite a few small fish in Chapman Lake. Went during the week so not a lot of people because site 61 was extremely close to us but no one was there at our time.

Super beautiful place to camp!! Each site is pretty much surrounded by trees. It's a little out there, but the view from the drive makes it so worth it. I'd definitely recommend checking out the local reservoir - it's gorgeous too! There's a lovely stream running through the site, surrounding mountains, aspen trees, and it is dog-friendly! It was everything we could've asked for!

Chapman Reservoir is a hidden gem! Lots of wildlife. Our dog chased a fox and we got to see a moose further up the mountain. The paddle boarding was great - especially in the mornings and evenings. The Reservoir was smooth as glass!
We can't wait to come back!!
