Great campground! A good number of sites have direct access to the river or reservoir. Most sites were fairly large as well. Plus, the toilets were clean which is good for kids.

The campsite was full but everyone was quiet and well separated. The site layouts were great and the toilets were clean. Deer were comfortable walking through the campground and the Camp host was friendly and knowledgable about close by hiking trails.

Beautiful campground!! We got one of the last spots available in the center of the ring. It was a nice site. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice if there were more trees around those sites for sun block and hammock hanging. I did think $35 was a little high for the spot but have no regrets staying there. We would return.

We were in F Loop. Sites are well spaced out. You can walk down by the river. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back.

Take I-70 west of Denver to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Take exit 116
(Highway 82) south to Basalt. At Basalt, take Frying Pan Road. Go 29
miles to Chapman Campground.
The campground is accessible via I-70, which is approximately 29 miles from the exit at Glenwood Springs. From I-70, take exit 116 for Highway 82 south to Basalt, then follow Frying Pan Road to the campground.
