What Guests Are Saying
Chapman Campground is praised for its stunning natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a top choice for campers. The campground is consistently clean, quiet and delightful...the bathrooms are amazingly spotless with plenty of toilet paper! The gals fold the end of each roll, I felt like I was in a fancy hotel!

Chapman is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have been to. There is no cell phone service, so it is perfect for quiet days on the river or on the reservoir. We hope to be back again, as this was our fourth time visiting and we loved it.

Scenic campground by Frying Pan River, with a stunning drive from Basalt past the Ruedi Reservoir on good roads. Most sites are private, near the river, and feature flat gravel pads, though a large rock separates the camper and picnic table/fire pit area. Bathrooms are clean, and potable water is available. Our starlink worked great! No interaction with the host, as we weren’t sure of the process. Caught brook trout and enjoyed long dog walks around the loops. First trip in our new Leisure Travel Van was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Lovely campground with very clean bathrooms. Loved paddling on the reservoir and walking the trails right there on the property.
