One of the very best USFS campgrounds I've found. The camp hosts at the very end of the season (I forget their names-a family of 4) were so friendly and took such good care of the place. On a rainy day I tracked mud into one of the outhouse. The facilities were all so clean my gut reaction was to wipe up my footprints. How crazy was that? Hire this family again!

I camped for a week in late September. Hardly anyone was here. It was beautiful. The aspens were changing, the reservoir is idyllic and the river is amazing. Super clean bathrooms. This place is huge. Just walking to each loop to check out other sites took a good amount of time. I can’t believe how few people were here for the Fall colors.
