What Guests Are Saying
Little Mattie Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting, with clean facilities and a dedicated camp host, Jeff, who is frequently praised for his helpfulness and friendliness. The campground is well-maintained, providing a peaceful experience with opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing. However, some visitors noted the lack of water at the campground and issues with reservations, including a closed dump station, which detracted from their overall experience.

we loved our stay here. The site was really spacious and secluded. The wildlife was beautiful to wake up to. I love that it is dog friendly. Our dog loved being out there and exploring. The lake is beautiful and not far. The stars are pretty from this site. We didnt find a lot of trails around this area. There is the ruedi overlook trail. Not that far to drive into basalt if you forgot any camping supplies. They had rangers out there cleaning the bathrooms a lot which was so nice. No water at the campground but they have potable water near the dump station. We loved it here and will be returning in the future.

This is a nice, quiet and clean campground. There is no water here but there is at Little Maude, the next camp over. The site is level and close enough to the lake to do a bit of fishing. Overall, a peaceful place with really great camp hosts! Toilets were clean and always had tissue. I was pleased by the experience.
