Very clean campground in a great setting. Close to Reudi rez and Frying Pan, but quiet and away from the boat launches. Restrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Just remember to bring all your water.

Exceptionally kept bathroom facilities and friendly camp hosts. I camp for a week at this campground every year and am never disappointed! Can get crowded on weekends due to lake traffic, but through the week the site was quiet and comfortable. Thank you yet again for such a pleasant stay!

Great campsite!!! Only thing we didn’t like was that nowhere on the website does it say you have to pay 7$ a day cash for a second car.

Beautiful campground. Many sites are small with little room to set up a tent and I would recommend choosing carefully if you plan to have more than 2 people with one tent camping on a site. We camped on the driveway of the site with just enough room for our CRV on the remaining room of the drive. There is no water in Little Mattie so you have to drive to one of the nearby campgrounds for water. The campground hosts just arrived during our time at Little Mattie and quickly got to work cleaning bathrooms and putting the campground in order.

Take I-70 west of Denver to Glenwood Springs Exit 116, Highway 82 to Basalt. At Basalt, take Frying Pan Road 15 mi to the Ruedi Complex Entrance.
Little Mattie Campground is accessible via I-70, with the nearest exit at Glenwood Springs (Exit 116). From there, Highway 82 leads to Basalt, and Frying Pan Road provides access to the campground.
