After a beautiful first night under the stars and a gorgeous day up until 4.30pm - peaceful and calm overlooking the reservoir, the ambiance of our scenic campsite was ruined by a group arriving and running an obnoxiously loud generator. They also had barking dogs. Considering we were looking for peace and quiet and immersion in nature the noise was overbearing and we packed up and left. According to the hosts it’s the risk you take. At $39/night it’s a disappointment and we are not willing to chance it again. Such a shame as it’s so pretty and would have so much potential if there were guaranteed quiet sites or stricter rules.
