What Guests Are Saying
Colorado Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and clean bathrooms. The friendly hosts, Chris and Kathy, receive high praise for their helpfulness and attentiveness, enhancing the camping experience. While some sites may be uneven or lack electrical hookups, the campground’s proximity to Manitou Lake and various hiking trails makes it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

Really nice campground for tents or smaller trailers up to 27'. Outhouses were well maintained by campground host. There is a small fishing lake within walking distance of the campground which is an added bonus.

We were at the Colorado Campground for a busy weekend in June. This is a big campground. Even so, the atmosphere was low key and respectful. Our site and most campsites we observed were well maintained and roomy. Restrooms were clean. There is a little lake within a 10 minute walk that was pleasant to walk to. (other than that, the surrounding area is private property and not very interesting. )

Very nice and clean campground. Camp hosts are very friendly, All campsites were full Friday and Saturday and it was not crowded. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean. The highway is close but the noise from the traffic didn’t bother us. Manitou Lake is within walking distance and it’s a good size lake. Grandson fished for a few hours and did catch one. Other people were catching fish. Not a lot of bugs..hardly any flies, mosquitoes or flying ants. I love that!!!

The camp hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We camped Sun-Tues so it was not crowded and there was nice privacy between guests. There are no designated camp pads, fyi, but that didn't matter for us. The grounds were nice, vault toilets clean, but due to the busy weekend some of the dumpsters were pretty full of trash. We would definitely recommend and return here.

We have enjoyed Colorado Campground from several sites. This past stay was site 40. It is a pull thru site, close to the trail to the lake. Camp host are very nice and always greet with a smile. There is always room for first come first serve during the weekdays.

Colorado Campground is one of our favorite campgrounds to go to during the summer. The campground hosts are wonderful and very friendly. The campground is well maintained. The trees provide so much shade and there is a lot of privacy.
