We had a wonderful experience taking our kids on their first camping trip here! This was probably the nicest camp site I've ever stayed at. It's clear it is very well cared for.

I had a site that had electrical service. The problem was that most people don't carry 60 ft. of extension cord to reach the receptacle. Recreation.gov should warn people about that issue and also tell if is a 50, 30, or 20 amp service.

Spring time camp was all around great once again. We had a tent camp set up with a fire going most of the time for warmth and cooking. The toilet access we had was clean and "free of bugs" as my daughters stated. The water fountain was useful since we did run out and needed a refill. The camp staff were friendly and offered fire wood for $8 per bundle. We plan to come back again and look forward to it.

The convenience to Colo. Springs to the campground makes this an easy destination. The access to Manitou Lake from the campground provides a nice additional venue for fishing, picnic or short hike.

Great Nat Forest Campground in a good location. No services except trash and water spigots and toilets but the location is great. You can visit Pikes Peak, Muller State Park and Garden of the Gods easily. We also enjoy the little town of Woodland Park.
