What Guests Are Saying
Colorado Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and clean bathrooms. The friendly hosts, Chris and Kathy, receive high praise for their helpfulness and attentiveness, enhancing the camping experience. While some sites may be uneven or lack electrical hookups, the campground’s proximity to Manitou Lake and various hiking trails makes it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

This is a favorite area of ours. The trees are awesome, but the bathrooms are amazing! Clean, odor free and always stocked with toilet paper. Campground host was super friendly and not intrusive.
We stayed at Jumbo campground on the Grand Mesa earlier this summer and they could use a lesson on restroom odor control. They were clean but the odor could only be described as a stench that clung to you long after you left the room.

This is a big camp, but it's well run, neat and organized. Hosts were on top of things and friendly. Lots of good sites with shade. Nice hiking trail to the nearby lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved it. More of a east coast feel than most Colorado campgrounds. Pretty large sites with lots of trees. A little on the noisier side.

Site is one of our favorite. The campground host are great and we hope they are there next year. We also have another favorite spot which is 39. But we have been reluctant all tho we have it labor day weekend to reserve because the pi nic table has become hard to sit at due to the ground erosion on 1 side. CN it be moved to a different area on the site or cN something be done. It is uncomfortable for my wife and other friends that visit because they are short and when sitting on the meadow side of the table ghey can't touch the ground. It would really help to have it fixed(ground where it won't erode) or move it. If that was fixed it would be a 5 star review. We have been coming to this Prk for at least 20 years or more. Thank you

The campsite was in the opposite direction of the one way drive in the campground. Would have to go in the opposite direction on a one way! Long drive in. Talked to the hosts and was able to switch to another site . Good hosts!
Thanks

Campsite was great. We stayed on spot 24 and love it. Enough space from the other recreationist the camp host were friendly and the toilets were in decent shape. I would go back to the campgrounds. The only draw back was the cars at night speeding through the road. Nothing the camp host can do about it.

We were at site 38 and it did not have a designated tent pad. It was a generous sized site. Sites are spread apart and not all taken for our time here. Short walk to Manitou Lake. Pit toilets were very clean. Hand sanitizer would have been nice.
