Quiet and very easily accessible campsite. Lots of pull through sites. Many bathrooms.
The only downfall was that the whole site was sloped (which was tricky for us tent users).

The campground is a little tight so finding that piece and quite won't happen at Colorado CG, at least on the inner loops. The positives are the campground is close to many adventures and hikes, a nice lake within a 1/4 mi and the campground hosts were wonderful.

Quite area for most the time. Very close to Manitou Lake, about a 10 minute walk. There were more than a few children on bikes. Super great hosts, keeps an eye on what’s going on but not in an obtrusive way! Accessible if you need or have question. Spotless toilets. One down side is the sites are pretty close together and from about any site you will see other sites (3-4)and tables.

The campground hosts, Chris & Cathy, are the best! They are very helpful & friendly. The bathrooms are kept clean and the campsites are also raked & fire pits emptied. We’ve been going to this campground for over a decade. These guys are the best!!

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Even though it was a busy Fourth of July weekend, it didn’t feel crowded since the sites are spacious. It’s a nice short hike to Manitou Lake and we always enjoy that as well. We also love camping in all of the wonderful Ponderosa Pines:) Truly a haven up in the mountains.

Excellent campground with great spacing between spots. Nice access to the lake which is about a 5-min easy walk. Hosts are incredible and very accommodating! Only 2 spots have electric, so no camper amenities for most spots, but worth it. One of our favorites!

Campground is well maintained. The Hosts are phenomenal and helpful. The location is beautiful forest with lots of room for kids to play and have fun.

- • SPECIAL NOTE: Colorado State regulations prohibit attaching hoses to hydrants to fill RV’s. Please come prepared. • For cancellations before arrival, call reservations at 877-444-6777 (Toll-Free), 606-515-6777 (International), or 877-833-6777 (TDD) from 10 a.m. -- 12 p.m. (Eastern Time Zone) • Please check-in with host upon arrival. • RV or trailers over 36 feet will have a very tough time making it through the campground because of tight corners and trees. • All vehicles including campers must fit in parking spur (not on grass) without blocking road. There is NO overflow parking in this campground. • Do not feed the wildlife. This includes bird feeders of any kind. • Don’t Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information. • Maximum 14-day stay limit within 30-day period. • 10 mph speed limit in all campgrounds and day use areas. • Discharging any weapon is prohibited including paintballs, bow & arrow, BB guns, airsoft guns. Fireworks and explosives are prohibited. Target shooting is prohibited. • Thunderstorms are common; take extra precautions for lightning. • Be bear aware; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating. • This is a high elevation facility; please use caution when traveling from lower elevations. • This facility has first-come, first-served sites, which must be occupied the first night. • No hookups available. • No horses allowed. • ATVs prohibited. • Click here for more information on Pike and San Isabel National Forests. • USE OF DRONES PROHIBITED.
- Two vehicles or one RV/Trailer plus tow vehicle per site is included in the camping fee. $11.00/night for a third vehicle.
- Firewood is available for sale at the Host site for $10.00/bundle.
- $11.00 fee for day use if not camping overnight. Must vacate campground no later than 5:00PM and only use First Come First Serve Camp Sites.
