What Guests Are Saying
River Hill is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, praised for its stunning scenery and friendly hosts, Edie and Felix, who go above and beyond for guests. The facilities, including bathrooms, are consistently clean and well-cared for, making for a pleasant camping experience. While the access road has some washboards and there was an issue with fresh water pumps, these concerns do not overshadow the campground's overall appeal, and many visitors look forward to returning.

We just returned from a stay at River Hill Campground, what a wonderful campground. Felix and Edith were the best campground hosts ever, the campground was immaculate. I have used a lot of vault toilets in my life, but these were as nice as being home; always stocked, always clean and smelling fresh and the personal touches that they put on the inside were over-the-top! The campground was quiet, tons of room between campsites and we were in spot 11 which was right on the river and beautiful. Felix was happy to share his favorite fishing spots and even gave me one of his favorite lures to use, I happened to catch a 15" Brown Trout off that one...Thanks Felix. The 9 miles of washboard road into the campground did suck, but well worth the rattle-n-roll! This campground could not have been better, it's now our favorite! Thanks Felix and Edith, you guys were awesome!

Road into the campground was HORRINDUS....VERY HORRINDUS. I damaged things on my RV just getting to the campground area. The forest service should do a better job of maintaining this road in....even if it is a gravel road. It was in a very poor condition to say the least. The campground itself was in good condition, and well covered, but getting there was very destructive. I have reservations again for River Hill in August, but I am considering canceling due to the poor condition and maintenance of the road....PATHATIC.....VERY PATAHIC...

Campground was very clean, organized. Host were VERY helpful and friendly. We especially like the extra touch of our reservation name tags and small American flags at campsite. One of the best sites we've visited.
