Wonderful campground. Very clean and widely spaced sites. Nice and quiet and hosts came by to monitor area. We have stayed there several times and thankful the road is now in great shape.

Very nice campground. Plenty of shade, big, private sites, clean toilets, and half a mile from colorado trail. I have gone to this campground several times and always enjoy it. Close to everything in durango too.

Lovely Environment.
Well kept pit toilets.
Some of the campsites are on an angle. Pictures don't do justice.
Long hike to go fishing.

Getting There
From Main Street in Durango, travel west on 25th Street (across from the fairgrounds entrance) for just over three miles, to the forest boundary. Continue just over a mile to the campground entrance. The day-use area loops to the left.

General
- The extended summer season will continue starting 9/27 through 10/18/2025, FCFS only campsites. No Water will be available during this time. Please plan accordingly. Restrooms and trash service will still be available. Host onsite.
- This is bear country; please practice safe food storage techniques
