The campground was gorgeous! Stayed in E Group for the electric hookup availability. Space 3 was roomy, level and huge area between spaces. The toilets were kept spotless, fully stocked and always smelled fresh. I loved this campground for all previously stated and for the close proximity to Durango. Cell service for AT&T was non-existent.

Nice campground with well spaced campsites and clean toilets. Trees provided shade but also enough sunlight that our solar panel kept batteries charged. The only downside for us was other campers that were not considerate of anyone else. One family let their dog run and bother other campers and their dogs. Another camper pulled in, cranked up his music and poured himself a drink before setting up his camp. For an hour or so, the music was way too loud. These were isolated incidents but unfortunately even the best campground can be made uncomfortable by rude people. BTW, campground hosts were not around enough to correct the problems.

A little slice of peace and quiet just outside of Durango, Colorado. Loved it here for our 10-day stay in Site #12 Loop E! Will be back for more peace .... Thanks for keeping such a clean and tidy campground - it makes for a wonderful first impression.

Nice campground just outside of Durango with clean vault toilets. Easy access to the start of the Colorado Trail and activities in town. We were in the E loop with electricity hookup and a spacious double site.

It's a beautiful campground, well-maintained, and the young couple doing the grunt work of cleaning restrooms and cleaning campsites deserve a raise. The only negative is the extremely poor cell service at all but a couple of the uppermost campsites. Your organization should work with the USFS and a local cellular carrier on improving the signal.

This is one of the cleanest, prettiest, well maintained campgrounds I have ever been to. We stayed seven days over two different weeks at different sites and the experience was the same. The campground staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly, always kept an eye out on things, reminded us to make sure our campfire was dead out, kept the bathrooms spotless and stocked, and the sites were impeccable. Such an eye for detail. Even the vault toilets never stunk. I don't know how they do it. Kudos to the volunteers and staff that run this campground. One of my favorites ever.

Paved Road to the campground! Great base location for hiking, biking, shopping, restaurants, boating, fishing. Clean restrooms, clean park, sites are spread out so you’re not on top of each other. Electric sites available if you reserve early. Been going here for the last 40 years. Our favorite park!
