Junction Creek Campground near Durango was a peaceful retreat nestled among tall pines. The campsites were spacious and well-maintained, offering a sense of privacy. Vault toilets were clean, and potable water was available, though there were no showers or dump stations. The nearby Colorado Trail provided excellent hiking opportunities. The gravel road leading to the campground was a bit rough, but manageable. Overall, it was a serene spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Beautiful, secluded campground - clean restrooms - large, beautiful campsites - quiet - about 6 miles outside Durango - last bit (1.5-2 miles?) is on dirt road (4x4 not needed, but it's bumpy/rutted in spots) - nearby trails - great place to home base while exploring the area!

The campsite has a lot of space. The surface slants a bit. It looks a lot better in person than in the photos. Bathroom and water is within walking distance but far enough to still have some privacy from other campers using it

3 miles of narrow windy paved road then 3 more of washed out gravel uphill hill hairpin turn road to get to camp site. Campground was hilly but well kept

The campsites were huge, not close to any neighbors, and the bathrooms were very clean! Bob, the camp host went out of his way to assist us in many ways. He was also friendly, knowledgeable, and personable! We will return!
