Site number three was excellent and Bob was so kind to help us with our water pump. They added gravel at the campsite was also very nice.

Love this campground. Sites were spacious and level on loop E. Very clean and no litter. Cleanest pit toilets I've seen yet. Quite at night and very respectful campers. Bob the campground host was the best! Very accommodating when we wanted to move to another site. Within walking distance to the Colorado Hiking Trail which was a plus. We'll be back.

Great campground close to Durango! The road up the mountain was a bit rough when we entered but during our stay they graded it and it was very nice leaving. Great hiking right out of the park. Head of the Colorado trail starts at the park.
Park host were great. Site was raked prior to our arrival. We saw them rake every site as folks left. They cleaned the vault toilets like 4 times daily.
Bob, one of the host has amazing knowledge of the area and had great info on hikes.
Don’t miss the drive up the mountain to the Animas basin observation site !!

Camped in July 25' Loop C site 9. Beautiful large site, well treed. The pad was VERY canted, difficult to level our 25' trailer. The picnic table was far from the pad, 50 to 60 feet away. No level tent spots. Very hot and extremely dusty. Proximity to Durango was good, but rough roads made it an unpleasant ride.

This is a gorgeous, back-to-nature campsite. Each site has so much privacy, with all of the trees. The second I pulled into my site I knew it was going to be one of my favorite places to stay.
