Only one side of outhouse open The other side locked. Imagine so they only had to clean 1/2. They turn the electricity off for some reason. No snow not horrible cold! Needs to be noted on recreation site.

We stayed here when we came to Durango to ride the train to Silverton and back. We had a great stay! The site was clean and very well-kept. The pit toilets were the cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever seen! It was a very beautiful campground and a short drive into the town.

Campground was very well laid out and clean. However, we did not use the toilet facilities, therefore I cannot vouch for that. We love the nature experience.
