Moraine Park Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and abundant wildlife like deer and elk. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, friendly staff, and convenient access to hiking trails. Map of tent locations on reservation site is in different scale then camping roads. It is useless.

This campground in Rocky Mountain National Park offers breathtaking mountain scenery in every direction.
Having campfires available made the evenings warm and cozy.
The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with large campsites—especially those located near the forest edge.
Deer wandered by my site almost daily, adding a magical touch to the experience.
The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Estes Park is less than 10 minutes away, and countless trails and attractions can be reached within half an hour.

A wonderful campground inside Rocky Mountain National Park with stunning mountain views all around.
Campfires were allowed, which made the evenings even more enjoyable.
Overall, the place is beautiful and peaceful, with spacious campsites—especially those closer to the forest area.
I could see deer passing by my campsite almost every day, which made the experience even more special.
The restrooms were spotless and sparkling clean.
It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Estes Park, and you can reach many hiking trails and attractions within 30 minutes at most.

The campsite is well maintained with beautiful views of the mountains and fields. The comfort station is nearby and kept clean. The only "problem" was we camped during elk rutting season. Their bugling lasted all night, every night. Would definitely come back here again.

Site A137 was great. Easy access from entrance in the park, very close to restrooms and solar shower stalls. Gorgeous view of the park right from our site. Would recommend to others! Only one direct neighbor.

This was my first visit to Moraine Park Campground since the two year closure for improvements. I was amazed at how much worse the facilities were. The bathrooms in A Loop next to campsite 89 were falling apart. Both the Women's and Men's restrooms were locked for our entire stay and the entire area could only use the single Family bathroom. The toilet was a cheap consumer product and the plastic seat was already falling off the toilet. The sink was wiggling and falling apart as well. The attendant at the booth was rude to us for no reason (probably overworked) as well. This is one of my favorite campgrounds in the world I stay here every year, I know funds are tight, but hoping these things get fixed.

I really enjoy the electrical hookups, it made the campground much more peaceful without running generators which in turn allowed us to hear the Elk bugle. Access to some sites are still difficult with larger RV or Trailers but better than before.

Stay Out of Hydroseeded Areas!Moraine Park Campground has recently been re-seeded after construction! This process, called hydroseeding, applies a combination of local native seed, mulch fiber, and water to disturbed areas, and looks similar to fine straw. Over the next couple of years, this seed will germinate and help restore the local native plant communities we know and love. Please protect these fragile areas by using designated paths and keeping kids and pets out of hydroseeded areas. |
