What Guests Are Saying
Moraine Park Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and abundant wildlife like deer and elk. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, friendly staff, and convenient access to hiking trails. While some improvements could be made, such as better bathroom signage and more electrical sites, many visitors express a strong desire to return due to the campground's overall charm and serene ambiance.

The area and scenery were of course beautiful. The campsites however are small and difficult to back into even with a short 20-footer like ours. And no showers. We stunk pretty good by the time we left.

Nice site, but not a level driveway. Higher in the back. Could have been graded leveler. Surprising considering all the other improvements to the campground.

One of the most beautiful places in America; majestic mountains, diverse wildlife and stunning views. And among all of this you have commercial jets flying overhead all day long, every day. It isn’t because pilots are limited in their airspace. They purposely fly overhead RMNP so their passengers can look. Good for them. But, what a buzzkill.

The shuttle bus stops at the campground making it easy to do many different hikes in the Bear Lake Corridor without having to drive.

Campsite was great. I would have liked more shade but it was decent. My only complaint is the picnic table was on uneven ground. Bathroom was close and very clean. Flushing toilets are a nice amenity. Will definitely come back to this campground.

I am so grateful for the new campground! There are so many incredible aspects, the views, the nearby trails, a bus stop. Every site has it's own bear box and that is so helpful and convenient
It would be better if the lights in the bathroom turned off quickly, if there weren't very loud hand dryers

I love RMNP and I liked the improvements made to Moraine campground. The shuttle bus worked well to get to the Fern Lake trailhead.

This is a beautiful campground and located in a great area of the park. The only downside was no showers, but that's pretty standard for national park campgrounds.

Camped at Moraine Park Campground for 2 nights during the first week of August and had a great experience! A111 was very private and quiet, and set back an easy 240ft walk from the parking spot. We had beautiful views from our site, and saw some deer in the mornings walking by our area. The walk to the nearest bathroom was not too far, and there was a sink to wash dishes and a potable water spigot located outside the bathhouse. The nearest solar shower stalls were closed, which was the only slight negative to our stay. Our site had a mix of sun and shade. Would be happy to return to this site in the future!

Stay Out of Hydroseeded Areas!Moraine Park Campground has recently been re-seeded after construction! This process, called hydroseeding, applies a combination of local native seed, mulch fiber, and water to disturbed areas, and looks similar to fine straw. Over the next couple of years, this seed will germinate and help restore the local native plant communities we know and love. Please protect these fragile areas by using designated paths and keeping kids and pets out of hydroseeded areas. |
