We loved our few nights spent in this campground and were so thankful that it opened spots so late as we didn’t have any camping reserved and were getting nervous. It was clean, our neighbors were all so nice. The only challenge was the men’s restroom was locked and the showers were also locked.

Sadly the camp platform we are required to set our tent on was not level, and the site advertised fully shaded, and barely any shade. A big disappointment

This campground will be perfect when all of the solar shower stations are open for use. We appreciated the large bear boxes that we didn't have to share with other campers. The large tent pad was great, probably the largest we've ever had at a campground.

Even with a camping reservation you can't enter the park before 1:00 on the first day. You will wait in line at the park entrance, then wait in line at Bear Lake Road entrance, then wait in a slow line at the campground entrance. Even after you checked in, it is difficult to re-enter the campground between 1:00pm and 3:00pm because of the long line.

We had a great site, A109, which was beautiful and private. Deer and elk came wandering through the site, munching on grass and bushes along the way. There was a spacious tent pad, fire ring, and new, concrete picnic table. The road was paved. All around great experience. Can't wait to go back next year!

I just had turned 65 and had the time of my life.
The campground is beautiful and had plenty of clean restrooms.
The views are spectacular!!
There are hiking trails all over, many from the campground. No bugs!
Easy to get around.
Close to Estes Park.
Something everyone should experience in their lifetime!!

The campground just reopened after nearly a 2-year construction upgrade. We were fortunate to reserve 1 of the new sites with electricity….it was very nice experience. Bathrooms were very clean, staff were friendly and entire park was well maintained. Exceptional given all the Federal budget reductions! Also, be sure to adhere to the campsite regulations concerning food containment….park staff are EXTREMELY vigilant with enforcement!

We had a wonderful experience at Morraine Campground. Great views, good bathrooms and kind guests. Informative Ranger show on flowers in the park. Our entire family loved the hike up to Hayahai Lake. Can’t wait to go back

Timed Entry Reservations: For visitors who are camping at Moraine Park Campground, your Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road Reservation is included with your camping reservation.Campers will be able to enter the park beginning at 1 p.m. on the first day of their camping reservation, which is also the check-in time for all RMNP campgrounds. Campers who plan to enter the park earlier in the day will have to enter the park outside of the times when timed entry is in effect (for example, before 9 a.m. for most areas of the park) or make a timed entry reservation. |

Entrance Fee. A park entrance fee is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park, or show your annual or lifetime park pass. You may pay the entrance fee upon arrival.Pass Discounts on Camping. If you use a Senior or Access Pass for a camping fee discount while booking a reservation, you must present the pass and photo ID upon check-in. |

Check-in Time. Check-in is after 1 p.m.Check-Out Time: All campers must check out and vacate their campsites by 12 p.m. on their departure day.Hookups - A number of campsites have 20/30/50 amp electric hookups available. Moraine Park Campground does not have any sites with water or sewer hookups.Dump Station - An RV Dump Station is available near the ranger station. Solar Shower Stalls are available - This is a solar shower only. Users must provide their own shower bag for water. Water is not provided in the shower stalls. Laundry services are not available. |

Site Limits. Each site is limited to eight (8) persons and one camping unit (i.e., a tent, RV, or trailer/tow vehicle) plus one additional tent per site. All tents shall be located on the tent pad. All additional camp structures must be self standing without impacts to vegetation or trees. There is at least one parking space per site. Some sites may accommodate more than one vehicle. A vehicle is defined as one car/truck, one trailer, one RV, or one towed unit. Each vehicle must be parked on the gravel or paved parking pad causing no resource degradation or encroachment onto the main road. Extra vehicles must park in overflow areas.Maximum length of stay. The maximum length of stay during peak season is 7 nights. Please check the rules and regulations before making your reservation. |

Firewood. Firewood is available for purchase at Moraine Park Campground, and all other campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park.Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. Dispose of unwanted bait, worms, fish parts, or other organisms into the trash and not into the environment. Stay Out of Hydroseeded Areas!Moraine Park Campground has recently been re-seeded after construction! This process, called hydroseeding, applies a combination of local native seed, mulch fiber, and water to disturbed areas, and looks similar to fine straw. Over the next couple of years, this seed will germinate and help restore the local native plant communities we know and love. Please protect these fragile areas by using designated paths and keeping kids and pets out of hydroseeded areas. |

Be Bear Aware when camping. Store all food and scented (soaps/lotions/toothpaste/lip balm – anything with a scent) items inside Food Storage Boxes provided at each campsite. RMNP has a zero tolerance policy for food storage violations. Do your part to help protect wildlife. |
