Rocky’s are beautiful and there are a few good sites in here that feel fairly private, but most of them feel like you you have others right on top of you. Not very private or outdoorsy feeling. More like an RV park.

Nice site layout with your own Bear box. Close enough to a restroom and they are plentiful so you wouldn’t have to go far to the next one if needed. Convenient being located inside the park!

I can see being "bear aware" but the National parks, I think are overly parnoid compared to state parks.

We were very disappointed in RMNP. After being closed for 3 years we had some reasonable expectations. What we found was a campsite with a picnic table so rotted that you could not sit at it. A fire pit so overgrown I was worried about burning down the park. The water spigot nearby broke so you had quite a walk for water. The dump was really a dump. No upgrade at all. Still one poorly designed dump. No cover for the sewer connection. Black tank and fresh water supply valves that are spring loaded so you have to hold the valve open or no water. You have to be Gumby. We have camped here several years in a row before the “construction “ and expected better. C’mon people. Do better.

Excellent site for camping. Campground staff were very helpful. The only problem experienced was the nearest potable water pump broke.

We paid for an electric space. The 30 amp breaker was broke which is what we needed. We reported this to two park employees immediately. We were told they would contact maintenance but it could take anywhere from a few days to weeks to fix. No one ever came to fix it.

Timed Entry Reservations: For visitors who are camping at Moraine Park Campground, your Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road Reservation is included with your camping reservation.Campers will be able to enter the park beginning at 1 p.m. on the first day of their camping reservation, which is also the check-in time for all RMNP campgrounds. Campers who plan to enter the park earlier in the day will have to enter the park outside of the times when timed entry is in effect (for example, before 9 a.m. for most areas of the park) or make a timed entry reservation. |

Entrance Fee. A park entrance fee is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park, or show your annual or lifetime park pass. You may pay the entrance fee upon arrival.Pass Discounts on Camping. If you use a Senior or Access Pass for a camping fee discount while booking a reservation, you must present the pass and photo ID upon check-in. |

Check-in is after 1 p.m.Check-Out Time: All campers must check out and vacate their campsites by 12 p.m. on their departure day.Hookups - A number of campsites have 20/30/50 amp electric hookups available. Moraine Park Campground does not have any sites with water or sewer hookups.Dump Station - An RV Dump Station is available near the ranger station. Solar Shower Stalls are available - This is a solar shower only. Users must provide their own shower bag for water. Water is not provided in the shower stalls. Laundry services are not available. |

Site Limits. Each site is limited to eight (8) persons and one camping unit (i.e., a tent, RV, or trailer/tow vehicle) plus one additional tent per site. All tents shall be located on the tent pad. All additional camp structures must be self standing without impacts to vegetation or trees. There is at least one parking space per site. Some sites may accommodate more than one vehicle. A vehicle is defined as one car/truck, one trailer, one RV, or one towed unit. Each vehicle must be parked on the gravel or paved parking pad causing no resource degradation or encroachment onto the main road. Extra vehicles must park in overflow areas.Maximum length of stay. The maximum length of stay during peak season is 7 nights. Please check the rules and regulations before making your reservation. |

Firewood. Firewood is available for purchase at Moraine Park Campground, and all other campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park.Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. Dispose of unwanted bait, worms, fish parts, or other organisms into the trash and not into the environment. Stay Out of Hydroseeded Areas!Moraine Park Campground has recently been re-seeded after construction! This process, called hydroseeding, applies a combination of local native seed, mulch fiber, and water to disturbed areas, and looks similar to fine straw. Over the next couple of years, this seed will germinate and help restore the local native plant communities we know and love. Please protect these fragile areas by using designated paths and keeping kids and pets out of hydroseeded areas. |

Be Bear Aware when camping. Store all food and scented (soaps/lotions/toothpaste/lip balm – anything with a scent) items inside Food Storage Boxes provided at each campsite. RMNP has a zero tolerance policy for food storage violations. Do your part to help protect wildlife. |
